Git hosting provider(s)

Other - please describe below

Other hosting provider

Company TFS server

(Azure DevOps only) What format is your remote URL?

None

Can you access the remote repository directly in the browser?

Yes, I can access the repository

Expected behavior

I'm already authenticated on the TFS server by domain and I should work without any other authentication.

Actual behavior

I can access the repository both trough web browser and trough git client iteraction the only issue is the authentication dialog that is prompted for each git operation issued on remote server.
I just have to press on 'Continue' button without setting user and password .. every attempt to specify an user/password led to an authentication failure.

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is identified. Start by reproducing the repeated authentication dialog on Windows 10 with version 2.6.1 and an HTTP remote on a company TFS server, then trace the credential-manager flow for that operation. Done means authenticated domain access no longer prompts for each remote Git operation.
