Research direction

Start by reproducing the OAuth failure on Ubuntu 22.04 with Gitea through a VS Code SSH remote, using the linked VS Code issue for context. Capture the missing logs and trace the authentication path; done means Gitea OAuth prompts and completes successfully in that environment.
