Description

Summary

Currently xrdp creates the xorg log in the home folder of the user connecting. We have a xorg wrapper script in lightdm/sddm/gdm that forwards logs to the system journal, this is preferable for debugging

Research direction

Start by inspecting the xrdp packaging and comparing the existing Xorg wrapper scripts used by lightdm, sddm, and gdm. Trace how xrdp currently creates the Xorg log in the connecting user's home folder, then identify the existing system-journal forwarding approach. Done means xrdp Xorg logs are available through the system journal instead of being written there.
