Black screen with mouse cursor after login since update on December 13 and new installs of Solus 49 not possible with NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPU

Summary

After the Solus Update on December 13th my Desktop shows a black screen after successful login.

Steps to reproduce

1. Normal behavior before the update
2. Installed updates on December 13th
3. Updates run normally
4. Shut down and restart computer
5. Login mask appears as normally
6. Login works as normally
7. But then -> Monitor gets black, only mouse arrow remains on screen
8. No further actions possible, just turning off computer by button is possible
9. Downgrade history to before update -> resolves the problem

Expected result

At point 7 above -> I would expect to see my Desktop as normally

Actual result

As described points 7-8 above: After successful login:

1. Monitor gets black, only mouse arrow remains on screen
2. No further actions possible, just turning off computer by button is possible

I waited until last update, installed it yesterday. But problem remains...

Start by comparing the system before and after the December 13 update, focusing on the NVIDIA GTX 1060 using the nouveau driver, X.Org/Xwayland, and the Budgie session after login. Reproduce the black screen and verify that the desktop loads normally after reverting the update; the issue names no files or tests.
