Description
Problem Statement
The customer is unable to duplicate alerts because the "Duplicate" option is not available in the UI.
Normally, from previous versions of our Alerts feature-set , duplicating an alert is done by navigating to the Alerts section and clicking "Duplicate" in the context menu (under "Actions") for the alert rule you want to copy -- see blog post.
If this option is missing, it suggests either a UI limitation or a permissions/configuration issue. There are no browser errors, and the customer has tried various actions (viewing, editing, saving alerts) without issue. The absence of the "Duplicate" option is the core problem, preventing the customer from copying existing alert rules as intended.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the missing Duplicate option in the Alerts section and inspect the alert rule context menu under Actions. Check whether permissions or configuration affect its visibility, comparing an affected account with one where duplication is available. Done means the Duplicate action appears for eligible alert rules and successfully copies an existing rule.
