PageMediaSelect has unfriendly option to unselect image

If i use PageMediaSelect in blueprint and select image in admin panel, i have nice option to choose uploaded image. But unlinking image is quite strange and its not clear how to do it (i found i can simply delete the name). What about little cross in the input field or "--- no image ---" option in the list?

Start by locating the PageMediaSelect implementation and the admin media-field behavior it uses. Compare the current name-deletion workflow with the proposed cross or “no image” option. Done means an administrator can clearly unlink a selected image through an explicit control or list option.
