UX feature request for modular pages on how to make it easier to use

I've been looking into how to setup a modular page in 1.7 / admin 1.10 and it seems pretty complicated. As I understand based upon reading the documentation and other issue comments here, the modular page features of grav is still an area that is needing more development?

I would like to suggest some inspiration from the UI of typo3 cms in which you can select a particular layout as shown in the image below with however many columns and rows you want...


After selecting the layout you want for the page when editing the content you can then click on the various areas of content to add text, images, carousel.. whatever type of "element" you want to the page...


I think this type of UI feature would work great for modular pages in Grav and take away a lot of the complexity I am seeing with having to understand the model of how to achieve the same thing in Grav currently.

I have demoed this type of layout of non programmers and they find it much easier to understand and use compared to other websites they have used in the past.

Start by reviewing the existing modular-page documentation and the current Grav Admin implementation to understand how modular content is configured. Check whether an existing plugin already provides the requested layout and element workflow. Done would require a defined, implemented UI for selecting rows and columns and adding content elements.
