Description

Given a web controller Spring bean annotated with @RestController, which injects a transactional application service Spring bean annotated with @Transactional, it seems that appmap discovery cannot recognize the connection between both components. This is the case with either JDK proxies or CGLIB ones generated by the annotation.

The Spring petclinic application does not use @Transactional annotations.

A temporary workaround for this issue is programmatic transaction management, nevertheless, having to abandon declarative transaction management for supporting appmap tool is a shame.
