Description

Channel closures are frustrating for users, and unfortunately, they’re recurring and likely to continue.

To make matters worse, users often don’t know who they had a channel with once it's closed. This lack of visibility creates a feeling of powerlessness.

A simple way to improve this would be to add a **channel history** section, showing all past openings and closures, along with the peers involved. Bonus points if users can also see whether the closure was cooperative or forced, and who initiated it (the user or the peer).

Research direction

Start by locating the node section and the existing channel opening and closure data paths. Define the history scope with maintainers, then verify that past openings and closures show the peers involved, with cooperative or forced status and initiator details where available.
