Use synonyms from skos thesauri to improve search results

Elastic search has a capability to set up synonyms for search terms and use them to generate matches

Setting up synonyms in elastic search seems a manual activity. Is it an option to develop functionality to load skos thesauri into the Elastic synonyms configuration?

@kuleuven is currently researching a tool which uses synonyms matching to INSPIRE data model terms (iso19110) and used the inspire datamodels itself to derive synonyms in combination with https://inspire.ec.europa.eu/featureconcept.
