Description
Do you think it would be possible to programmatically dial a number—such as an internal extension in a residential complex—and, upon connection, play a recording while also recording the incoming audio? I want to build a local messaging system that randomly calls a list of numbers and plays an MP3 or WAV file. What do you think? Does it make sense for me to try this?

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points and is an exploratory request rather than a defined task. First inspect the repository structure and existing dial-up implementation to determine whether call control, audio playback, and recording are supported; the work is not ready until those requirements and a testable scope are defined.
