Description

I have a few tiny PCs (3x Lenovo - 20V @3A ), raspberry Pi (2x 5V @ 3A) and Unifi US-8-60W (1x 48V @ 1.25A) in a rack.

The power adapter cable mess in the back of the mini rack is not helping my OCD.
In an ideal case i would like to have only a single power connector and LAN cable. (**requirement**)

### Cram everything in the back and forget about it.

this is the easiest way with probably the lowest cost to implement (i have all the stuff already).
It just doesn't look nice and doesnt meet my OCD requirement.

### 20V Powersupply with stepdown convertors

install a 20V powerbrick (ex: https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-DROK-110V-220V-Switching-Transformer/dp/B08GFSVHLS)
get a DC stepdown convertor for the RPi 5V

problem with this approach: these PSUs are typically over 1U height and what about the 48V need?

### USB-C PowerDelivery Brick

USB-C PowerDelivery standard has the option to output 20V down to 5V.

get a beefy USB-C PD brick that can handle this load (ex: https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Charging-Station-Compatible-MacBook/dp/B0DJ2NNJFR/ )
https://www.amazon.com/Type-C-Trigger-Module-Supports-Output/dp/B08LDJBN8P/ to request 20V from USB-C and connect to the TinyPCs.

problem with this approach: which USB-C PD bricks are good for continuous load? What about the 48V need?

### 48V Powersupply with stepdown convertors

48V powerbrick (ex https://www.amazon.com/MEAN-WELL-LRS-350-48-350-4W-Switchable/dp/B013EU4KNK/ )
get a DC stepdown convertor for the TinyPC 20V
get a DC stepdown convertor for the RPi 5V

This PSU is too deep for the rackmate 10inch rack.

how would you optimize power delivery in a clean way?

Research direction

The issue names no repository files, tests, or entry points. Start by reviewing the listed power-supply approaches and the 10-inch rack constraints; done would be a clearly specified, clean power-delivery design that satisfies the single-connector requirement and supports the stated 20V, 5V, and 48V loads.
