Description
This rack is an ongoing project, but now that I have 'version beta 1' complete, I thought I'd start documenting it here, for the like 0.2% of us who are time-nuts and want a compact, mobile setup for their clock measurement :)
The equipment in use currently includes (a few of these links are Amazon Affiliate links):
- [NetTimeLogic PPS Analyzer](https://www.nettimelogic.com/tools-pps-analyzer.php)
- [Switchberry](https://github.com/Time-Appliances-Project/Switchberry)
- [N150 Mini PC](https://amzn.to/4wH8OhV)
- [Time Stick](https://github.com/Time-Appliances-Project/TimeStick)
- [JetKVM](https://jetkvm.com)
- [JetKVM PoE Adapter](https://wisdpi.com/products/jet-poe-splitter)
- [JetKVM 3D printed rackmount](https://makerworld.com/en/models/2139891-sg105-sg1005p-jetkvm-left-mounted-10-rack-mount?from=search)
- [Calnex Rb/GPS Timing Reference](https://calnexsol.com/datasheet/rb-gps-reference-source/)
- [Meinberg microSync XS](https://www.meinberg-usa.com/products/microsync-series.htm)
- [GPS Source 4-way splitter](https://www.gpssource.com/collections/splitters/products/s14wi-gps-1x4-wireless-splitter)
- [Netgear GS305P 4-port PoE Switch](https://amzn.to/4nCL1LK)
- [Tupavco 10" Rack PDU 4 outlet](https://amzn.to/4tMSaum)
- [RackMate T2 12U mini rack](https://amzn.to/49hSGcG)
- [Various BNC to SMA cables](https://amzn.to/4dSHcil)
You can see the back side of the rack here, including the power strip, PoE switch, and GPS distribution box. I also have another USB-C power adapter hanging out for the Switchberry; it'd be nice to have a multi-port power hub for USB-C and 12-20V power adapters... that's one part of this build that's particularly messy right now.
I published a short Level 2 Jeff video covering the rack and how I'm using the NetTimeLogic PPS Analyzer to compare and quantify multiple clocks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BBxCn4mY5Y
