Description:
A 10U minirack built to hold networking, Proxmox and a couple of Raspberry Pis. This was my first foray into home servers, I wanted something low power to host Home Assistant and a NAS as well as a more powerful computer that I can remotely access to run machine learning projects (this part is still a work in progress as it has no GPU). For these I have two ITX boards, one with a N100 cpu and the other with an old Ryzen 5900 I had spare. This second board is set up for wake on LAN.
I also decided to include a couple of Raspberry Pis that I had lying around, and used POE hats to fully run them through the switch, although I am yet to put these to use.
The structure itself uses four 15x30mm oak bars with attached 10u rack rails, 3d printed brackets and Laser cut Brass panels with dust filters to close the sides. The various inserts are a mixture of 3d printed and bought.
Yet to add:
A main element is a GPU for the 5900 ITX board. I intend to use an Intel B50, so that it can be fully powered through the board, but retains reasonable VRAM and speed. Otherwise I need to find purposes for the Raspberry Pis, and add a few more drives to the NAS.
