Description

This is currently a placeholder / WIP area as I think I have something worth sharing.

At the moment, it’s “barebones” and mostly only features Cat-1 there on the left. Sometimes Cat-2 (mini panther) shows up and we have the makings of a hostile takeover.

Next Steps:
- WIP (un-WIP it, un-WIP it good—obligatory 90’s reference)
- Upgrade pretty much everything, all networking gear anyway

The goal of the mini rack is to provide for a development / coder / software project manager type of role, instead of sysadmin cosplaying (though there’ll be plenty of that in it too). It’ll have stuff like a couple mini “servers” (Mac Mini M4, some sort of generic mini-ITX, and at least one Raspberry Pi cluster).

At the moment, I’m working on a Power solution, what I want to do for the mini-ITX, “NAS”, and the Pi clusters.

One Pi will be dedicated as a “core services” system. I want it to be PoE / M2 NVMe and host things like a PXE server as I want the rest of the systems (except probably the NAS) to be NetBoot.
