Description
After several revisions and a few failed prints along the way to finish, I have finally finished a DeskPi RackMate build and wanted to share!
I used the RackMate T1 8U rack and have added:
Front Side:
1U - FriendlyElec NanoPi Mini Router (OpenWRT)
1U - Cloud Managed Gigabit Switch
2U - JaredC01 LabStack Mini with 3 Raspberry Pi 3's put to new use (THANK YOU JAREDC01!!- this is a fantastic design for the Pi's!)
2U - PiRAID - Raspberry Pi 5 with Radxa Penta Sata Hat with 4 - Swappable 2.5" Sata Raid Drives!
1U - Dell OptiPlex7040
Back Side
3U - 12v 92mm Fan with LED's (had this from the mid 2008/9 timeframe so put it to use!)
1U - Power Distribution 120V and USB Power
Mounted in the bottom upside down - 12V 17A Mean Well Switching Power Supply - to power a bank of buck converters for each Raspberry Pi, NanoPi, Pi RAID, and the 12v Fans!
Models created by me (on MakerWorld):
[PiRAID Radxa Penta SATA Hat](https://makerworld.com/en/models/1190016-pi-raid-10-inch-mini-rack-for-raspberry-pi-5-and-r#profileId-1201660)
I have created a [GitHub page](https://github.com/[btb2k/PiRAID-LCD](https://github.com/btb2k/PiRAID-LCD)) for the python scripts for the LCD Status Display.
Coming Soon (or Wish List!):
Raspberry Pi SDR
4G LTE for Remote Connectivity
Meshtastic node and maybe other radio projects TBD
Switch to a low power mode (AC Powered Items and PSU Off) to run off of a 12V portable lithium battery like the GoalZero or BlueYetti for operation anywhere!
