Description
Something I would love to see: some kind of means to power a mini-rack from power tool battery packs. (I've seen adapters for things like portable soldering irons.)
I'm a Makita-guy and so have half a dozen or so of their battery packs. But it should be easy enough to make variations to support other systems (Milwaukee, Dewalt, etc.).
- 5V USB (PoE?) outlets
- perhaps 9V or 12V for switches or whatever that have non-5V requirements
- holds at least 2 battery packs so they can be hot-swapped (supplying power in parallel)
- perhaps 2U if on a rack shelf (I haven't measured though if that would work)
I don't expect anyone has come across such a thing. Might have to make it from scratch.
