Description

I don't recall exactly how the idea came about, but at some point I went looking for display options to add into the LabStack ecosystem for viewing data (uptime, CPU usage, etc). While in the process of looking for options that would fit into the LabStack module space, I came across a display from WaveShare that's 2.8" diagonal, with a default portrait orientation, and with dimensions that PEFECTLY fit the LabStack cutout... OH, and it's a DSI display as well, meaning it only requires a single ribbon cable for both display and touch!

You'll have to forgive the colors in the images; my phone doesn't do a great job at capturing true-to-life colors from the display, and as a result, they end up a bit washed out. In person, the display is relatively bright (I'd say around 250nits, but that's a guess), with BEAUTIFULLY accurate colors, and with a 480x640 resolution at 2.8" diagonally, is very sharp/crisp at 285 pixels per inch! For comparison, that's roughly the same PPI as a 15.5" laptop display with a 4k resolution (3840x2160), which is pretty impressive!

The only downside about the display is the price, which was around $50 USD: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2LKQ2QB On the bright side, it does come with a ribbon cable long enough to attach the display to a Pi LabStack module directly adjacent to the display, so no additional hardware is needed.
