As a developer of Sleeper, I want to be able to improve things I notice can be improved, so that the system continues to get better.

When developers have improvements that they'd like to be made to the system, we'd like to be able to make those changes.

We'll list issues here that have been raised by developers, that we'd like to address here rather than as part of another epic.

Note that changes that we expect to improve overall developer productivity are under another epic.

This is an umbrella issue for developer-raised improvements in Sleeper, but it names no files, tests, entry points, or concrete change. Wait for a specific improvement to be listed or split into a focused issue before starting; completion criteria are not defined here.
