Description
Me and @Rangi42 are trying, for the `6.0` major release, a version branch with a fixed lifespan (1 month) collecting all the breaking changes in parallel to the changes being pushed to master. Once the grace period finishes the version branch gets merged + deleted and the final 6.0.x gets released. In the meantime a RC can be released from the version branch.
