de.NBI Cloud and intergalactic reference datasets

Hi Galaxy Project Team,

we from the de.NBI Cloud (https://www.denbi.de) would like to use the reference datasets provided by the galaxy community for our cloud federation in Germany.
However we would be especially interested in a concept for providing more up-to-date databases.
@bgruening told us that this is work in progress and maybe you could notify us in this issue if you have a concept in place for updating databases (maybe also on a regular basis).
