Description
This came up as a potential precursor to activities. We want a framework to ask a few questions about the data a researcher has and then find them the correct workflow. Since we have fewer modern, best-practice complete workflows annotated than we have training material - the idea would be to start building the framework toward finding these things and then plug in training material as the destination.
This wouldn't even have to be done in Galaxy to be honest - it might be better to start off as a skunkworks project associated with training-material with an eye toward how to someday integrate it.
Once we have a simple way to find a few key pieces of training material - we extend this in many interesting ways:
- [ ] Work toward toolbox views - filtering the tools to only those relevant.
- [ ] Improve visibility of published workflows on the side bar - filter only those relevant.
- [ ] We could markup the training material to "parameterize" it and publish different variants - send users to a customized variant tailored toward their data.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the proposed training-material association and the questions needed to match researchers with workflows or training material. Define a small initial set of destinations and matching behavior; done means there is a simple way to find a few key training materials, with later toolbox and workflow-sidebar extensions left out of scope.
