Description

The problem is that when HTTPFileSystem.get is called, it checks if it is a directory here, but to check that this is a directory, it downloads the whole body of the file here, and then again streams the file.

Research direction

Read the linked sections in fsspec/asyn.py and fsspec/implementations/http.py to trace HTTPFileSystem.get and its directory check. Confirm how the directory check downloads the body before the file is streamed, then verify that large-file retrieval avoids this duplicate full-body download.
