Research direction

The issue names no files or tests; start by locating the project's current System.Data.SqlClient dependency and usages. Read the linked Microsoft.Data.SqlClient announcement, then check type-provider behavior and existing SQL Server coverage. Done means the dependency is switched without breaking the package's build or supported database access.
