Is creating a child from an another field possible?

Essentially I need to create a field that has children as well.


Ultimately this will be a drop down where a user can select many options and it gets rendered as a child.

Any ideas on how to make this possible? One foreseeable problem would be additional children would have to align lower than the child from the input. Thank you for any help!
