Attempting to connect to a MariaDB hosted instance in Azure. I can connect from other client applications without problems.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I also have the `pgsql` and `SQL Server (mssql)` extensions installed. I am running on Windows in the just released 1.35 version of VS Code.
