Calendar and events views require styling improvements

It's time we fixed all the issues outstanding with calendars – that goes for all our Drupal sites: Herne Hill, CML and VAC to name the most prominent. There are numerous issues:

The mini-calendar seems to have inherited some bizarre styling:

The date listing needs to be styled more consistently with the rest of the site listings:

Individual event cards in days on the day, week and month views need to be made more clearly readable and consistent with the rest of the site styling and the controls on all those views could do with being made a little better too.
