Opening menu and dismissing closes an open detail view

Select an app, the editor opens.
Open the menu, click the gray area is dismiss it.
The list re-renders and the open editor closes.

The re-render should only happen if the active BrowserConfig changes. Also consider if we can avoid the re-render entirely.
