Example app gives error Backoff delay duration less than minimum value

I cloned the example app and tried running it. It builds fine but on tapping the download button it shows the following in the logs

` Backoff delay duration less than minimum value`

Some say its a simulator error but worked fine on a physical device.
But I am using a physical device. (Android 11).

Reproduce the issue by running the example app on a physical Android 11 device and tapping the download button. Start with the logged “Backoff delay duration less than minimum value” message and compare behavior with the simulator report. Done means the cause is identified and the download works without this error on the reported setup.
