Save file to Files directory on iOS without having to open a task

Hi I am trying to download a file and have it saved on the "Files" folder under "My Device", but I can't get it to work that way. I have to first download it, and after it completes to call the method open with the task id, so the iOS app that opens the file to provide me a way to actually save it?

Is it possible to save it without having to open it first?
