How to dispose Chewie Video Controller

Hello, I'm using the video player for the first time to create a movies app and every time I navigate away from the movie detail page back to the list of movies. The Chewie player keeps playing, infact it keeps starting over overlapping the previously playing one and you know the same video is playing more than twice. How do I dispose the playerController after I'm done on the page. I've tried calling the dispose function in WillPopScope but it's not working. What's the proper way to dispose the video player?
