Description

GNOME runtime version 49 (based on Freedesktop runtime version 25.08) provides the **FFMPEG** module.

In most cases, you don't need to build this module separately, unless your project requires a specific version or a custom configuration.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the related Freedesktop SDK manifest at the linked components/ffmpeg.bst entry and then inspect the repository's runtime or build configuration for its current FFMPEG setup. Compare that setup with the runtime-provided module and use pull request #76 to understand the work already underway; done means the project no longer builds a redundant module unless a specific version or configuration is required.
