Description

A) Use the last version of Flatpak

1) Install OpenCPN 5.14.0 (using sdk 25.08)
2) Launch OpenCPN
3) use the installed basic nautical charts
4) the chart is displayed
BUT
if you activate opengpl you get a total black display inside the window

B) here is the result of flatpak list :
Name Application ID Version Branch Installation
Freedesktop Platform org.freedesktop.Platform freedesktop-sdk-25.08.14 25.08 system
Mesa org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default 26.1.4 25.08 system
Mesa (Extra) org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default 26.1.4 25.08-extra system
nvidia-580-159-04 org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.nvidia- 580-159-04 1.4 system
Nvidia VAAPI driver org.freedesktop.Platform.VAAPI.nvidia 25.08 system
Codecs Extra Extension org.freedesktop.Platform.codecs-extra 25.08-extra system
Breeze GTK theme org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Breeze 6.7.2 3.22 system
OpenCPN org.opencpn.OpenCPN 5.14.0-1+91f3b67 stable system

Nota Bene
In an other system using nvidia driver 580.119.02 the flatpak runtime for nvidia 580.119.02 allowed perfectly the use of OpenGPL (which is needed for some kind of nautical charts

Expected Behavior
the runtime nvidia 580.159.04 must allow OpenGPL the same way as runtime nvidia 580.119.02 did (and all the previous runtime nvidia)

Actual Behavior
the runtime nvidia 580.159.04 can't use OpenGPL

Additional Information

Besides the Flapak version of OpenCPN I use the same program (OpenCPN 5.14.0) installed as a rpm that is built for Mageia10 on the same system where Flatpak is installed.
The system as a Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 graphical card and uses the nvidia 580.159.04 proprietary driver...
This "rpm installed" OpenCPN can use OpenGPL inside the system...

That confirms that the nvidia-580-159-04 org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.nvidia- 580-159-04 doesn't work correctly when the previous versions of this runtime were OK :
Mageia9 used nvidia 580.119.02 proprietary driver, and Flatpak used nvidia-580-119-02 org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.nvidia- 580-119-02,
inside this system OpenGPL could be used for the rpm installed OpenCPN and for OpenCPN inside Flatpak ...

Research direction

Start by reproducing the OpenCPN 5.14.0 steps with the 580.159.04 runtime and compare them with the working 580.119.02 setup described in the issue. Check whether OpenGPL produces the black display only inside Flatpak; done means OpenGPL renders correctly with the newer runtime, matching the RPM and previous-runtime behavior.
