**Problem description**

Portal 2 shows high contrast textures, when adjusting the texture quality between medium and low this is more pronounced, with and without cache preloading, this only happens when using OpenGL, while with Vulkan (launch parameter -vulkan) it doesn't happen.

**Does this issue reproduce with native Steam**

No

Research direction

Start by reproducing Portal 2 from the Steam Flatpak on Fedora with OpenGL, comparing medium and low texture quality with and without cache preloading. Run it with the documented -vulkan launch parameter as a comparison. Done means the high-contrast textures no longer appear in the OpenGL path while the relevant texture settings are used.
