Description
Hello,
I'm scratching my head trying to get Steam working on my Fedora 30 system via Flatpak. Steam installs to `/var/lib/flatpak` fine but the problem occurs when trying to run the bootstrapper and I get the error message as per the title of this post.
The system is bound to NIS (with NFS4) using a shared home folder that is located at `/dir/users/discocheque`. When creating a new local user (/home/test), the Steam bootstrapper works fine, things extract and I am prompted to log in to Steam as per normal.
It is almost as if the extraction process is interrupted as my `~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.local/share/Steam` is only 354M compared to 1.7G for my working user. Available disk space is fine.
I'm thinking its either due to home being mounted with NFS or the extra folder in my home path.
Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions most welcome.

Research direction
Start with the Steam Flatpak bootstrapper and compare its behavior for the NIS/NFS4 shared home at /dir/users/discocheque with the working local /home/test account. Check why extraction stops around 354M and gather the relevant runtime or bootstrapper logs. Done means identifying a reproducible cause and documenting or validating a fix for shared NFS homes.
