Did anyone else notice high battery usage with steam in background?

I am running this flatpak on Debian testing, with Kernel version 6.6.15-amd64, KDE Plasma 5.27.10 and Wayland. My power draw on idle is typically below 15W, dipping as low as 9W. I just installed the steam deb for comparison and see around 12-13W. With the flatpak version of steam just open in the background I usually hover around 20W! Is that to be expected?
