Description
When entering fullscreen mode (via F11 or video playback on any website), Chrome automatically exits fullscreen mode after 1–2 seconds. This started happening about 2 weeks ago (it was working properly before).
Steps to Reproduce
- Launch Chrome (Flatpak).
- Enter fullscreen mode on any video or press
F11. - Wait ~1 second.
- The browser automatically drops out of fullscreen mode.
Environment
- OS: Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS
- Desktop Environment: COSMIC
- Flatpak Version: 1.16.6
- Chrome Flatpak Version: 131.0.6778.108-1
- Runtime: org.freedesktop.Platform/x86_64/25.08
Additional Context / Troubleshooting
- Tested running Chrome with native Wayland flags (
--enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland), but the issue persists. - Tested forcing X11 backend (
--ozone-platform=x11), but the issue still occurs.
