Description
Hi! Perhaps a bit too late, but I was going through the appstream and flatpak docs in order to upstream some of the metadata, and noticed that there is a recommendation against using 'com.github.*' (or other similar repository domain) for application IDs, since authors have no ownership of the domain.
Is this a problem in practice? If so, I have a domain name I control which we could use instead if preferred (if it's even possible to rename at this point). Let me know if you think this is worth pursuing further.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the AppStream and Flatpak documentation cited in the issue, focusing on application ID ownership and whether an existing ID can be renamed. Confirm whether the current com.github.afrantzis.Bless ID presents a practical problem and document the decision, including an agreed replacement domain if a rename is pursued.
