Version number says "dev"?

Hi,
I have since the beginning used "go install github.com/flashbots/mev-boost@latest"
to both install and update mev-boost (according to many guides) with great success. After updating and running journal, I would confirm that the version number indeed increased. Now, using the command gives "version=dev". Any idea why? How can users check exact version number? Its an important feature to see what version you are currently running.
