Description
The sample graph makes it easier to see which samples we have, but it would be even better to highlight locations where we _should_ have samples but don't have any.
This should highlight ranges where there's no sample for at least `interval * 2` (or maybe `interval * 1.5`?).
Probably this should come after #3364.
