Research direction
No source file or test is named. Reproduce the missing-icon case in the Files app by creating a shared folder, opening \\127.0.0.1, and pinning it to the sidebar; inspect the linked debug.log while tracing the sidebar icon handling. Done means the pinned network computer displays its expected icon.
