Description
### Description
If you open a tab and quickly click on an element (i.e. a drive) on the tab page, the application freezes and after several seconds it crashes.
### Steps To Reproduce
1. Open Files
2. Open a new tab (click the + icon in the tab bar)
3. Quickly single-click (to select) on any drive in the newly opened tab just before the drive icons finish loading.
4. App crashes
Note that if you click after the icons have finished loading, the app does not crash.
Same thing happend when navigating back/forth and click an element before icons load, but it seems to happen ONLY for the Home page/tab.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the crash using the listed steps, especially selecting a drive before icons finish loading on the Home tab. Inspect debug.log and trace the failing path from the crash details; no source file or test is identified in the issue. Done means the new-tab and navigation scenarios no longer freeze or crash during early loading.
