# Project Summary
Calip.io is building a decentralized startup investment platform where startups can raise capital through blockchain-based tokenized fundraising while maintaining transparent, verifiable, and immutable records.
Our proposal integrates Filecoin and IPFS as the decentralized storage layer for startup documentation, including pitch decks, financial statements, legal agreements, valuation reports, due diligence records, governance documents, and smart contract metadata. Ethereum smart contracts reference immutable CIDs stored on IPFS/Filecoin, allowing investors to independently verify every disclosure before making investment decisions.
This creates a transparent investment infrastructure where critical startup information cannot be modified, deleted, or selectively disclosed after publication. By combining Ethereum's programmable smart contracts with Filecoin's decentralized storage, Calip.io aims to improve transparency, investor trust, and long-term accessibility of startup fundraising data.
---
# Impact
Startup fundraising today depends heavily on centralized cloud storage. Important documents such as pitch decks, shareholder agreements, financial statements, and legal disclosures may change over time, making it difficult for investors to verify historical information.
Calip.io addresses this challenge by storing startup documentation on Filecoin/IPFS with immutable content addressing. Investors receive cryptographic proof that documents referenced by Ethereum smart contracts remain unchanged.
For the Filecoin ecosystem, this project demonstrates a real-world use case for decentralized storage in regulated fundraising and real-world asset (RWA) infrastructure. Every startup onboarded increases the amount of permanently stored public investment information while showcasing Filecoin as the storage layer for transparent financial applications.
Success will be measured by the number of startups using decentralized document storage, the number of immutable records stored on Filecoin, and developer adoption of the open-source integration libraries.
---
# Outcomes
The completed project will provide:
• Filecoin/IPFS integration for startup document storage
• Ethereum smart contracts supporting immutable Filecoin CIDs
• Startup document upload portal
• Public investor verification interface
• Open-source SDK for integrating Filecoin document storage
• Documentation for developers
• Testnet deployment
• Public GitHub repository
Success metrics include:
- 100+ startup documents stored on Filecoin
- Public verification portal operational
- Open-source SDK published
- Complete developer documentation
- Successful testnet deployment

# Data Onboarding
Month #1:
10 GB
Month #3:
100 GB
Month #6:
500 GB
Month #12:
2 TB+
These estimates include startup pitch decks, legal documentation, valuation reports, governance records, smart contract metadata, and supporting investor disclosures.

# Adoption, Reach, and Growth Strategies
Our initial audience includes:
• Early-stage startups
• Startup incubators
• Angel investors
• Venture capital firms
• Web3 developers
• Tokenization platforms
Initial adoption will begin through startup accelerator partnerships and our existing startup onboarding pipeline.
The first 10 startups will be onboarded manually during pilot deployment.
The first 100 startups will be acquired through incubator partnerships, startup communities, and ecosystem collaborations.
The SDK will also allow third-party builders to integrate decentralized document storage into their own fundraising platforms.
