package 'digest' not found

Hi,
I am following the instructions from here . https://www.ficonsulting.com/filabs/RInno
When I get to install_inno(), I get this message:

It's only a warning, but it does not bode well. Continuing on, when I get to create_app, I have 2 problems:
1) every time I run this, it tells me nodejs is not installed, even though it installed it for me itself at the previous attempt.
2) Error in util::packageVersion(x) : package 'digest' not found.

'Any help would be much appeciated.
