Description

Dear SAM Team,

I'm a Ph.D. student using your fantastic model as the foundation for my thesis.

My research focuses on applying statistical methods directly to SAM's zero-shot masks to find novel insights in agriculture (e.g., crop health, leaf area analysis).

As I refine my focus, I have one key question for the experts: From your perspective, is there a particularly promising or underexplored research direction for analyzing the statistical or geometric properties of SAM's outputs in this context?

Any brief suggestion or a point in the right direction would be immensely helpful.

Thank you for your time and for creating such an impactful tool.

Best regards,

Wil
Ph.D. student
