Docker compose error on ubuntu

Hi there, I have been trying to setup compreface with one of the available builds on ubuntu. I've installed docker and docker compose and have also downloaded/unzipped compreface files. However when i run the docker compose command it gives me the following error:

docker.errors.DockerException: Error while fetching server API version: ('Connection aborted.', PermissionError(13, 'Permission denied'))
[16109] Failed to execute script docker-compose

Can someone please provide a quick fix for it?
