Background/Foreground notification not working on IOS

Hi @evollu, Im having an issue integrating this on IOS. on Android it works pretty fine.
I am sure that i followed all the steps correctly including installing the firebase package through cocoapods. I have also setup my firebase app properly and uploaded the apn p.8 and key. I have really don't have any idea what i've missed. my app boots fine and it also registers the device and gets the device token. when i tried to send a message using the firebase console message compose and the message was sent successfully but im not getting any notification at all both background and foreground.
If you guys have any idea what to do please kindly push a comment below :)

I am using RN version 0.42 and react-native-fcm 7.0.3
I have tested it on iphone devices running IOS8+
