Description

I think I have the same problem as #988 but now with 1.7.2 on Linux Debian 12 XFCE

Almost no rules show up in the UI.

The non-visible rules block all kind of applications, and those apps (eg my mail client, Eclipse) break without any meaningful message

There is no database in ~/.config/opensnitch/database so there is nothing to remove. The workaround from #988 therefore doesn't apply.

If you can not delete or modify bad rules, opensnitch becomes unworkable. Frequently network-blocking rules are introduced automatically because you can not attend quick enough to a popup. Or because it hijacks the focus eg while you're typing and takes the first "enter" button press as an OK to do whatever it suggested (usually, block?).

Yesterday suddenly all the rules showed up briefly (1 minute?) but after I deleted a rule it was back to not-working. But at least I can now understand how this is SUPPOSED to work. I think I understand enough to say that without this functionality the app is useless and completely unintelligible.
