level-queryengine depends on an outdated version of subindex, and because of this it's broken for me

I had issues running the sample code of `level-queryengine`.

Thought that the problem was within `subindex`, and for this reason opened an [issue on such project](https://github.com/eugeneware/subindex/issues/8) (it's reach of code samples and details).
Then I figured out that the latest version of `subindex`, 3.0.0, works just fine, but `level-queryengine` depends on an older version, 2.0.0, which is broken for me.

Can we upgrade the dependency?

Also I'm really curious to understand how `level-queryengine`/`subindex` could ever work on the first place...
