Need guidance on how to improve a broken feature in your project / 3rd party library

I've got an inkplate 10 device, however they screen grayscale seems to be bronken.

Can you guys please point me towards some howto / guild etc on how to make contributions to your project / modify library etc to make epshome tinny bit better !
